About the role
The Haven Home Safe (HHS) Property team provides a wide range of services in relation to the development and delivery of new properties, including Development Management, Project Management, Asset Management, Real Estate Advisory, Administration and Compliance.
The Development Manager will play a key role in supporting the Director – Property in Identifying, analysing and delivering major Property Development and Program Management opportunities for the organisation.
Provide leadership and coordination for the end to end tender/proposal process for Haven Home Safe for the Victorian Government Big Build and other relevant Business and Asset Development opportunities.
Working together with the Director, key responsibilities of the position will include:
- Analysis of new development opportunities including highest and best use and yield, feasibility, planning etc.
- Site due diligence
- Managing all aspects of any significant property development projects
- Leadership and development of other project team members
- Oversight of and constructive input to projects either in train or in gestation
- Providing independent advice to the Director on development opportunities
- Undertaking detailed feasibility, risk analysis and financial analysis and presenting to various Boards and Committees for business case approval
- Be an HHS project lead on current and future property developments including origination, negotiation and delivery
- Program managing strategic property programs and initiatives
- Managing internal stakeholders associated with development projects
- Managing external relationships including JV partners, builders, architects, advisers, investors, financiers and external development managers / directors
- Acting as the HHS’s representative for development related contracts associated with developments
