About the organisation
Goulburn Valley (GV) Health is a Regional Public Health Service in the Hume Region of Victoria, with campuses located at Shepparton, Tatura and Rushworth. The main campus is in Shepparton while additional sites are also located in Shepparton, Seymour, Benalla, Cobram, Echuca and Wodonga. GV Health provides a range of acute, subacute, mental health, aged, primary health and community services across the Goulburn Sub-Region within the Hume Region. . The main Shepparton Campus is the major acute referral hospital for the sub-region and has over 280 beds - providing acute medical, surgical, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatric, rehabilitation, intensive/coronary care, emergency care, mental health and geriatric care.
GV Health is currently completing the capital redevelopment of the Graham Street Shepparton Campus comprising Stage 1 valued at $229.3m as well as components of Stage 2 being the Integrated Cancer Centre and Mental Health Precinct. There are also a range of smaller capital projects including but not limited to the Youth Prevention & Recovery Centre, Mental Health and Alcohol & Other Drugs Crisis Hub, Early Parenting Centre and Children & Young Person’s Hub. A key future priority will be the enabling of the planning processes and related preparation of the business case for future capital projects including Stage 2 of the Graham Street Shepparton Redevelopment.
About the role
The Executive Director Capital Projects, Infrastructure & Support Services is an integral part of the Executive Leadership team at GV Health and leads the Capital Projects, Infrastructure & Support Services portfolio across the health service. The Executive Director works closely with the Chief Executive, executive team members, the Department of Health, the Victorian Health and Human Services Building Authority and is the prime source of strategic, tactical and operational advice in respect of all service provided within the Directorate.
To be considered for this role you will have a proven history of high level leadership skills including significant experience and demonstrated success at an executive level, preferably in a healthcare environment. Demonstrated success in capital, project and infrastructure management is also required and whilst a clinical background is not mandatory it is preferred. A post graduate qualification (such as MBA or health services management) is also required.
