About the role
The Initial Assessment and Planning Worker will assist families and individuals who are homeless or about to become homeless, to obtain adequate accommodation through the provision of housing information, direct financial assistance or targeted referral within the service system. You will be responsible for tasks such as building links with the local real estate sector to enable early intervention with households at risk, providing time limited outreach interventions to support tenancies and first level case management.
As the successful candidate you will have qualifications in a related discipline such as social work. You will haveknowledge of the sector and of the contributing factors that lead to homelessness. As a person that is committed to ensuring that all our disadvantaged clients are provided a well-rounded service you also understand the importance of sensitivity and privacy in all cases.
