Who we are

Social Ventures Australia (SVA) is a not-for-profit organisation that works with partners to alleviate disadvantage and towards an Australia where all people and communities thrive. We influence systems to deliver better social outcomes for people by learning about what works in communities, helping organisations be more effective, sharing our perspectives and advocating for change.

Team Overview

SVA’s Programs team works with partners to pilot, prove, refine, and scale effective approaches to tackling disadvantage. The current portfolio of nine programs mainly focuses on improved outcomes for people and communities ‘cradle to career’.

SVA’s Programs portfolio includes emblematic programs such as Evidence for Learning (E4L) which works to promote wider adoption of evidence-based practice through the Australian education system.

E4L is an evidence intermediary or knowledge broker. E4L’s mission is to help busy educators – especially educational leaders — increase learning for children, by improving the quality, availability and use of evidence. E4L works with education systems, early childhood education and care providers, schools, researchers, government bodies and philanthropists to share and support the use of evidence on what works best in Australian schools and early learning settings.

The position

You will manage E4L’s brand and marketing channels and develop appealing and evidence-based collateral that engages the head and heart of E4L’s primary audience of busy educational leaders.
You will work closely with the E4L Director, E4L Associate Directors, administration staff, education contractors, and the SVA Marketing and Communications team.
Your key deliverables include:

  • Collaboratively developing and delivering annual marketing plans and campaigns including targeted social media campaigns to reach busy educational leaders.
  • E4L brand alignment and championing.
  • Distribution and promotion of content through the full range of media channels, including copywriting and branding of E4L print and digital collateral, co-ordination of graphic design and videography suppliers.
  • Managing E4L digital platforms, campaign tools and reporting tools including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Campaign Monitor, Salesforce and Google Analytics.
  • Project reporting and profiling on activities and outcomes achieved with E4L audiences.

Your benefits

  • Work in a business awarded Best Workplace 2021 from Voice Project with 81% employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Join an organisation awarded Change Champion 2021 for recognising and actioning our employees’ insights to improve experience and business performance.
  • Be part of the SVA team known for living by our values to put people at the centre and be open and ready to learn.
  • We don’t believe that “one size fits all” so we offer flexibility and a hybrid work model that is specific to your team and recognises that work is only one of our priorities.
  • Join a business with a focus on your wellbeing and development with an additional week’s annual leave after working with SVA for two continuous years.
