The Role:

The position of Operations Manager – Housing and Support exists primarily to provide operational leadership and management in provision of therapeutically informed and innovative Housing and Support residential and SIL services achieving inclusion outcomes for individuals and families accessing the service. The position is responsible for the effective implementation of the revised model of support consistent with agreed service objectives. The position will review on an ongoing basis, service provision in this program and develop and implement strategies to strengthen practices, culture and performance consistent with person-centred and self-directed approaches and community engagement/participation. 

Reporting to the Manager, Housing & Support you will:

  • Beginning to end delivery of multiple housing projects in consultation with Manager, Housing & Support.
  • Operational leadership and management of the Housing and Support Supported Independent Living  programs to maximise community inclusion and personal autonomy for service users and strengthen resilience of families to maintain their caring roles 
  • Assist in facilitation of and participation in program specific and cross program planning, projects and strategies 
  • Provide leadership in the delivery of innovative and evidence based practice 
  • Involvement of Active Support Study – leading study within annecto sites 
  • Lead behaviour support practice and implementation of plans across all housing sites. 
  • Ensure that staff are engaging in Active Support principles when working with tenants 
  • Lead, implement and monitor practice framework across housing sites and staff.

  • are an articulate, clear communicator with a high level of literacy.
  • are self-motivated, well organised and resourceful.
  • possess a high level of integrity, passion and reliability.
  • are an advocate for independence
  • understand behaviour support practice and its implementation within a diverse team.
  • have a positive track record supporting people with complex presentations including intellectual disabilities, complex health and physical disabilities 
  • will possess a relevant qualification in Disability

The Offer:
