About the role

The RCH Foundation’s Planned Giving and Estates program aims to inspire and encourage more donors to include charitable gifts in their Wills and to leave a lasting legacy to The Royal Children’s Hospital. The position of Philanthropy Lead, Planned Giving is responsible for the development and execution of:

  • Management of the Gift in Will program bespoke to RCH, including acquisition of new supporters, the use of Moves Management techniques for donors who are considering, intending or those who have already included gifts in their Wills
  • Management of Estates including complex Estates
  • Management of Endowments, including building a strong Endowment program in liaison with CEO and Senior Leadership team where required
  • The position will also manage a small team of planned giving professionals

To be successful: 

  • Five years + experience in Gifts in Wills or Planned Giving in a management level
  • Experience in leading a small team
  • Demonstrated well-developed management skills including people management, change management, project
    management and planning
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in managing budgets, consultants and volunteers to achieve outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with bequestors, potential bequestors, donors, leadership and
    volunteers
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service and relationship skills, with clear ability to relate to people of varied
    ages and cultural backgrounds, particularly the elderly
