The Advancement cluster within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences works to promote the long-term success of the Faculty and the University by building mutually beneficial relationships. Advancement (MDHS) works actively and collaboratively with colleagues across the University, partner hospitals and research institutes, to enhance the teaching and learning, research and engagement strategies of the Faculty. Advancement (MDHS) aims to develop a culture of philanthropy throughout the Faculty and ultimately secure increased funding for research, academic leadership, student scholarship, teaching programs and major projects.
About the role
The Project Manager, Advancement will have substantial influence on the capacity of the Advancement team to deliver transformational gifts ($5 million+) for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. Reporting to the Deputy Director, Advancement and working closely with the Director of Advancement MDHS and the Development team, the Project Manager will require high level communication, judgement and analytical skills.
Specifically, the Project Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and delivery of advancement projects to support a multi-faceted fundraising program, which consists of multi-project and multi-donor management throughout the full donor cycle. Critically, the role requires a deep understanding and experience of working with senior advancement professionals, academics, donors and key stakeholders to bring transformational gifts to fruition. This includes supporting pipeline management for key philanthropic priorities, developing and writing complex proposals and donor briefings, correspondence, gift agreements and strong collaboration to ensure effective gift processing, establishment and ongoing bespoke stewardship.
