Emerge Australia is a national patient organisation providing education, advocacy, research and support services to people living with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) their families and carers. Their work gives hope and help to more than 250,000 Australians living with ME/CFS and those with post viral disease such as Long COVID.
About the role

- Light & modern Melbourne CBD office – Mon to Fri
- Revenue growth into the organisation will be the key measure of this role with an expectation to double your cost to the business within the first 12 months
- Secure new business partnerships and strengthen existing relationships
- Convert donors to regular givers and work to move them up the donor pyramid
- Develop strategies to identify revenue growth through sponsorships, creation of events, appeals, donations, fundraising and gifts in wills
- Strategically set and manage the annual budget for revenue generation programs, events and marketing including preparation of the organisation’s events calendar
- Data analytics development and interpretation of metrics such as impact analysis and customer satisfaction surveys
- Grow the existing database in alignment with the strategic vision of gaining funding from all financial partners and diversifying the existing revenue mix for sustainability
- Utilise your personal networks and the network of the CEO, Board and internal stakeholders to develop new prospects and successfully engage new business partners.
- You will need to have an engaging and friendly disposition to be an appropriate cultural fit for Emerge Australia.
- 5+ years or more experience in successfully growing revenues within the ‘for purpose’ sector or commercially
- Identifying and securing new business partners from within related products/service providers/networks
- Successful management of financial targets
- Demonstrable success in achieving financial donation/fundraising and sponsorship targets
- Good understanding of the NFP sector preferable
- Be naturally agile and innovative in the design and delivery of revenue generating concepts
- Superior networking skills and the ability to build long-term trusted relationships. Being well connected in the philanthropic network will be highly regarded
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to build powerful pitches and presentations along with the ability to negotiate and close the deal
- Digital experience to collaborate and work closely with the Digital Communications Specialist
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly
- Strong computer skills and competence across the full suite of Microsoft Office as a minimum
