About the organisation

Organisation Name : Crusaders (CRU)

CRU is a Bible-based, interdenominational Christian youth organisation whose mission is to help the students of the independent schools of Australia to know and follow Jesus. We seek to expose students to the gospel, win them to Christ, disciple them in their faith and train them for a lifetime of service.

Our core ministries are:

  • CRU Holiday Camps - residential and day camps for school students during school holidays on both the east coast and in Perth;
  • CRU Educational Camps - fully programmed camps for school year groups during term times; and
  • Schools Ministry - encouraging and supporting Christian groups and speaking in school chapels and assemblies on both the east coast and Perth.

 

About the role

A talented events specialist is needed to lead and drive events at CRU. Make a difference to the next generation of youth.

Based at Eastwood, the Events Specialist will be joining the Communications Division.

Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for a variety of event projects including but not limited to:

  • End-to-end management of major events (pre-event planning, marketing collateral development, coordination on the day, post-event activities).
  • Coordinating of marketing material for events. Including the collection of stories demonstrating the impact of CRU’s work, liaising with CRU kids and families, or visiting campsites to take photos or videos.
  • Social media coordination and strategy around events (working with the broader communications team to develop social media posts as relevant to events and other key activities).
  • Manage donor relations for events and other activities as required (liaison with donors to answer queries, update details, follow up event RSVPs, request donation support for major campaigns).

 

The successful applicant will have:

  • A full agreement with CRU’s Expanded Basis of Belief
  • Strong administration capabilities with an eye for detail
  • Exceptional time management and organisation skills
  • Project management skills to own and drive an initiative from briefing stage to final delivery and post event evaluation
  • Strong people skills in communication and building rapport
  • Database experience will be highly regarded but not essential
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • A desire to see lives transformed by the Gospel
  • A NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
