All we do at St Merkorious Charity is aimed at striking poverty at its root. We’re a DGR Charity registered with the ACNC, founded in 2013 to serve the most vulnerable in our local communities. Our food relief services serve more than 3000 meals a week to struggling families around Sydney experiencing food insecurity, and our charity is always growing and looking for opportunities to help more people in suffering from food insecurity by delivering healthy and nutritious food, as well as saving food from local supermarkets and shops from landfill.

About the role

As a food pickup driver, you will be responsible for picking up food that is donated to us from various sources and delivering it to our Strathfield headquarters. We provide a van for food deliveries and pickup. Proven experience in driving a large vehicle such as a van is essential for this job.

This role requires some heavy lifting when unloading and loading the van.

ABOUT YOU

You will need to have…

  • Valid NSW Driver’s License and ability to drive a van
  • Working With Children’s Check

The ideal candidate will…

  • Have previous experience with delivery driving
  • Be honest, reliable and a team player.
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Be passionate about making a difference in our community
