About disAbility Living

Established in South Australia in 1984, disAbility Living (DLi) began its journey by providing long-term accommodation and support for young adults who had reached a stage where their traditional housing options had narrowed. Since then, DLi has grown significantly to now employ over 260 staff in multiple locations across metropolitan Adelaide to provide disability services, including Supported Independent Living / Specialist Disability Accommodation; Short-to medium term accommodation; In-home support; Community Participation and Therapy services. https://disabilityliving.org.au/

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager, Client Services, the Lifestyle and Community Participation Manager will form a key member of disAbility Living’s leadership team, significantly contributing to the strategic direction, leadership and management of the Community and Lifestyle Participation division. Critical to your success will be your ability to draw upon your entrepreneurial leadership to develop and implement visionary strategic business plans, focussed not only on managing the current services but developing and expanding new client participation service initiatives and support programs that enhances independence and quality of life for people accessing disAbility Living’s services. In conjunction, you will develop plans for revenue generation and growth (including but not limited to grants, philanthropic, fundraising); forge mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholder groups and secure new business and industry partnerships with a strong focus on person-centred programs. Concurrently, within your team, you will engender a culture that is values-driven, collaborative, professional and person-centred and that embraces innovation and change.

 

About You

You are an entrepreneurial and visionary leader who brings strong commercial acumen combined with a community heart. You bring leadership experience within the disability sector with extensive knowledge and understanding of NDIS governance and requirements, coupled with formidable skills in business development and strategy development. You demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills which enable you to forge collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships with diverse stakeholder groups including, but not be limited to, people with disability and their family/carer networks, your peers and leaders; allied health professionals; government officials, businesses and industry groups. You demonstrate empowering and inclusive leadership and the ability to enable a positive and high-performance culture in your team. You hold proficient financial and governance acumen and a demonstrated ability to work with limited guidance and resources. Tertiary qualifications in disability, allied health, developmental education, or a related field coupled with relevant experience at a senior or management level are expected.

 

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $130,000 plus 10.5% super plus the standard NFP package up to a maximum of $15,900. (Circa $148k – $159,550 TRP based on experience).
