Join our organisation as Project Manager, Strategic Initiatives and work closely with the CEO supporting her in her operational and strategic priorities.

About the role
The key objective of this position is to work closely with the CEO to support a range of key initiatives that the CEO has identified as strategic priorities including:
- Contributing to processes to investigate their viability and suitability within the context of Jesuit Social Services
- Assisting in/leading documentation of these initiatives and other priorities
- Assisting in/leading project management of projects under development
- Supporting the CEO in managing external relationships relevant to CEO priorities
- Investigating potential funding sources for priority initiatives
This is a part-time opportunity, based in our Richmond offices.
Candidate requirements
This will suit a candidate with the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience and skill in undertaking social research and excellent writing skills
- Demonstrated capacity to prepare written briefs, based on distillation and analysis of ideas
- Demonstrated expertise in project management
- Understanding of disadvantage, social justice and social inclusion in the context of government policy making at the national and state/territory levels in Australia
- Understanding of the various significant relationships – with the Society of Jesus, government, community sector and donors/supporters – that play a key role in the organisation’s stakeholder network and operating context
- Understanding of the media and its use for advocacy purposes
- Excellent verbal communication skills in small group settings and capacity to work productively and co-operatively as part of a team
- Capacity to fulfil reporting and administrative requirements associated with the position
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Tertiary qualification/s and/or experience in the social and community services field are required
