Our simple and practical service ensures that students can attend school in warmth and comfort with a greater sense of belonging and increased self-esteem, which in turn enhances their educational prospects.

About the role

Reporting to the CEO, the Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory Manager will be responsible for inventory planning and forecasting and will liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure best practice and accuracy. You will also liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, working as part of a close-knit team to ensure that State Schools’ Relief is operating efficiently and meeting strategic objectives.

 

More specifically the role will be responsible for:

  • Develop, streamline and improve the supply function within the business. Lead the team to receive and deliver stock efficiently and effectively on a daily basis
  • Accountability for delivery of stock KPIs
  • Manage stock file integrity to ensure availability of stock and minimise loss
  • Inventory optimisation
  • Monitor and take action to eliminate risk of slow-moving stock
  • Drive standard operating procedures to ensure effective supply chain & logistics activities

 

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Strong understanding of order processing functions
  • Proven experience in implementing process improvement and change management
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
  • Forecasting experience to ensure adequate stock levels are held 
  • Develop, streamline and improve supply function within the business
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Business Central for stock management and reporting requirements

This 12-month maternity leave position, offers a very attractive market salary, plus superannuation and generous salary packaging, as well as the opportunity to work as part of a close-knit team.
