The Homes for Families (H4F) program provides support to families with children experiencing homelessness who were residing in emergency accommodation due to the pandemic with access to stable medium- and long-term housing and integrated support packages.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader with a demonstrated understanding of psychological interventions, leadership and the sequencing of interventions.

This integral role will provide clinical a nd operational support to a team of Therapeutic Specialists, on a full-time basis for 2 years, as a part of EACH’s Homes for Families (H4F) program in Southern Melbourne.

The role will ensure that the H4F team delivers a high standard of integrated interventions, using an outreach and site-based model, that respond to a range of needs including mental health, AOD, family violence, family systems and trauma while meeting their performance targets.

What you’ll be doing

As a Team Lead – Homes for Families (H4F) you will be responsible for:

  • Responding to the needs of families experiencing homelessness,
  • Leading, mentoring, supporting, and motivating the team with the necessary support, supervision, training, and guidance to ensure quality service provision to customers,
  • Role-modelling service delivery expectations as you manage a small clinical caseload of clients,
  • Enabling staff to achieve their individual targets through the effective distribution and management of caseloads, and
  • Ensuring services are of high quality and comply with the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) Standards, the Victorian Residential Tenancies Act, as well as other legislative and compliance requirements.

 

 

Who you’ll be working with

In addition to working directly with your team of Therapeutic Specialists, you will work closely with the Therapeutic Services Manager and partner agencies, including Anglicare, EACH Housing and other EACH support services, to achieve positive housing and health outcomes for clients across Southern Melbourne.

The team works with very high levels of flexibility, trust, networking, and collaboration, and members of the team will have strengths in these areas to engage with clients in the community.

 

Who we are looking for

Along with your passion for helping others, you will:

  • Have a tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, occupational therapy or other relevant discipline/profession
  • Have membership to appropriate professional bodies e.g APHRA or AASW
  • Have a high level of competence in the implementation of psychological interventions for a range of co-occurring issues including mental health, AOD, family and trauma related presentations
  • Experience in working with complex and multiple need families/individuals
  • be an effective communicator and ability to develop and nurture positive relationships
  • have a demonstrated ability to complete administrative tasks to the required standard and detail to meet quality and reporting requirements.
