About the opportunity
The Southern Melbourne Child and Family Alliance includes senior representatives from partner agencies that deliver Family Services and Family Preservation and Reunification programs in the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey and Cardinia Shire. The Alliance aims to drive collaborative systems integration and improvements for children and families to be healthy, well, connected and safe in their community.
Working in partnership with the Alliance Governance and Operational Groups, the Alliance Project Coordinator is responsible for:

Leading the implementation of initiatives identified in the Alliance Strategic Plan and Action Plan in consultation with relevant stakeholders

Ensuring relationships with Alliance member agencies are collaborative and facilitative

Acting as the main conduit liaising between operational managers in Alliance agencies
-
Overseeing program reporting requirements according to DFFH timelines

Providing supervision and support to the Alliance Program Administrator
About you
To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description. You will also have:

Demonstrated knowledge and experience within the child, youth and family welfare sector
-
Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to scope, plan and implement projects within required timeframes and budgets
-
Comprehensive understanding of the Children and Family Services Sector, including Child Protection and the requirements of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005
-
Proven ability to support collaborative effort within and across community based and government organisations
-
Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
