CatholicCare Victoria delivers excellence in a broad range of child, family and youth services, family relationship services, school counselling and pastoral care services, social housing, homelessness services (crisis, transitional and outreach), employment and advocacy services across dozens of office locations, delivery sites and outreach locations throughout Victoria. Reporting to the CEO and leading a team of nine, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team and responsible for leading the successful strategic direction, planning and execution of all fundraising, marketing and community engagement activities to achieve financial targets to support their strategic objectives, vision and impactful programs. ​

The Fundraising and Community Engagement program is responsible for developing and delivering best practice fundraising, marketing, and engagement strategies that promote the CatholicCare Victoria brand, deepen stakeholder relationships, inspire philanthropic giving and contribute to social change. This role calls on a values-based leader to facilitate growth and lead the team and stakeholders through change and transition towards aspirational goals and increased support for vulnerable Victorians. ​

About YOU​

  • Ability to lead, inspire and mentor a high performing team, plus foster a positive and collaborative culture​
  • Demonstrated experience in growing fundraising income, community engagement and brand awareness​
  • Development and pro-active management of PR and media relationships to increase brand awareness and reputation of CatholicCare Victoria in the community​
  • Strategic leadership skills, ideally within a human services or social impact environment​
  • Change management, analytical and problem-solving skills​
  • Understanding of compliance, governance and risk management​
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement to manage a diverse portfolio including philanthropic funders, community partners, corporate entities, media, government, suppliers, volunteers and families​
  • Public speaking/presentation and influencing skills​
  • Understanding of working in a faith-based organisation​
  • Strong alignment to CCV’s guiding principles – Human Dignity, Solidarity, Subsidiarity, Equity and Respect ​
  • Relevant experience in a senior leadership role, plus tertiary qualifications in Fundraising, Business, Marketing or Commerce
