About the organisation
Located on the Murray River around 350 km north west of Melbourne, Swan Hill District Health (SHDH), is a 143 bed (including Aged Care) fully integrated rural public health service. They employ around 630 staff and service a 100 km radius area with an estimated catchment area of around 35,000 people. SHDH will shortly commence the $48 million redevelopment of its Emergency Department and this exciting project will require an Executive Director Corporate Business with the energy and enthusiasm to assist with the deliver this critical community asset.
About the role
The Executive Director Corporate Business (EDCB) leads the operational activities of the Support Services departments across the Swan Hill District Health (SHDH) operations environment. The EDCB is a member of the SHDH Executive Management Team and undertakes the role and functions of the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) of SHDH. In the role you will participate in strategic and operational planning/development for the health service; lead the corporate services planning; and be responsible for the operational management of the corporate objectives of the plan.
To meet the requirements of the role you will have tertiary qualifications in Management or Business. You will have a minimum of five years’ experience in senior management position relative to the appointment and be able to demonstrate the management skills and practices which engage and motivate staff to achieve quality outcomes, meet targets, and improve and optimise performance.
