About the role
Treatment Foster Care Oregon (TFCO) is an evidence-based program providing an alternative to residential care supporting reunification outcomes for children and young people aged 7-11.
Our Foster Care Recruiter and Trainer holds a critical role as part of the TFCO team focused on growing the number of new foster carers engaged by OzChild to support Queensland’s most vulnerable children and young people.
Working with key internal stakeholders, this role leads the entire end-to-end foster carer journey; from marketing, enquiry, face-to-face and/or online screenings and information sessions, to stewardship, training, and supports the assessing of potential foster carers.

What you will do:
· Targeted carer recruitment and coordination of carer assessments.
· Develop a clear recruitment strategy including advertising channels, preparation and placing of recruitment ads.
· Present and deliver carer information sessions.
· Assess the foster carers by conducting assessments and identify potential placements for new carers.
· Take all enquiries from new carers and potential carers.
· Think strategically and work as part of a team to overcome the challenges associated with the recruitment of new carers.
Who we are looking for:
· Demonstrated experience in customer journeys and business development (sales) to meet high organisational targets
· Experience in recruitment, business development, account management
· Not-for-profit experience and previous out-of-home home care sector knowledge is highly desirable
· Highly developed interpersonal, communicating with influence, organisational, planning, and relationship management skills
· Demonstrated experience and success in local area marketing initiatives and events
· Qualification in social work, psychology, community services or related field is desirable, but not essential
