About the role

If you are an Oral Health Therapist, qualified with a Bachelor of Oral Health and unrestricted AHPRA registration, enjoy variety in your day, and work closely with other service delivery professionals, you might be exactly the person we’re looking for!

EACH is looking for several Level 2-3 Oral health Therapists full-time or part-time, to provide efficient clinical service in all facets of the delivery of safe, high-quality, efficient and effective public dental services.

 

What you’ll be doing

You will be working across our clinics and with our Smile Squad Team.

Smile Squad is a school dental program that will transform dental care for every student attending a Victorian public school. Our vision for Smile Squad is the delivery of consistent, accessible, high-quality dental care, every time. Students are quickly becoming familiar with our bright orange fleet, smart uniforms, our approachable staff and the great customer care they provide.

Located in the Eastern region, you will play an important role in providing dental care within the scope of publicly funded dental services. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be exposed to a diverse clinical caseload that each patient brings and have a wide scope for career development and professional growth. Your extended scope of practice will be highly regarded, as will your ability to work autonomou sly and within a multidisciplinary team to ensure that goals are achieved.

Some of the skills required for this role include:

  • Excellent dental knowledge and clinical competence with considerable recent experience.
  • Sound awareness and understanding of Infection Control principles as they relate to the position’s area of work.
  • Commitment to, and understanding of client-centered care.
  • Display a high level of motivation and dedication to their profession.
  • Display empathy, and have an understanding of all ages and the needs of people accessing services at EACH.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of maintaining privacy and confidentiality, in particular with regard to client records and information.
  • Have an intermediate level of IT skills (in particular MS Office Suite and client management/database systems – e.g. Titanium)

 

Who you’ll be working with

We are a large Public Dental agency with 18 surgeries, a mobile van and outreach programs. In total there are approximately 60 staff members that work across several sites in the eastern region. We are a diverse team consisting of dentists, dental prosthetists, oral health therapists, dental therapist, senior dental assistants, oral health educators, dental assistants and trainee dental assistants, who also supports dental student placements during the year from Melbourne University.
