About the Role :

The Clinical Coordinator is a highly valued and essential member of the STAR Leadership group and team, and has a diverse and challenging role. The position provides Clinical and Operational support on a day to day basis to the STAR VincentCare team and wider STAR consortia, in conjunction with the Salvation Army STAR Clinical Coordinator.

The role works across the Inner North and North West AOD Catchments, and is based at VincentCare’s Glenroy and North Melbourne locations

Ensuring Monthly Targets are met, accountabilities to funding bodies, providing Clinical oversight, Facilitating Reflective Practice and Assessment Review, providing Clinical Supervision and line management to a number of staff, networking and contributing to the overall functioning of the Program, and managing administrative demands of a leadership role. There is also capacity for a small caseload of assessment, counselling, care and recovery, or Choices group participants where required.

About you 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications – a principle discipline, Cert IV AOD/mental health competencies and relevant experience in AOD sector (required)  Certificate IV Community Services (AOD) or 4 core AOD competencies or willingness to complete in the first 12 months of employment (required) 
  • A full current driver’s license
