About the organisation
EDFA is a national, not-for-profit, lived experience peer support organisation, supporting families and carers of individuals with a loved one with an eating disorder. EDFA is the only Australian organisation that solely supports parents, carers and siblings. EDFA strives to support, teach, reassure, inform, validate and empower carers, knowing that parents and carers are foundational for their loved one's healing and recovery.
About the role
EDFA’s strive Carer Support Program is run by parents and carers sharing their lived experience through online support groups, and a Facebook support group. The successful candidate will work closely and collaboratively with the strive team, undertaking regular tasks and providing adhoc support to ensure smooth delivering of the program.
This role is critical to the successful delivery of the strive Carer Support Program. Successful job applicants will be able to perform these essential functions with minimal supervision.
- Manage membership details via our CRM and provide reports as required
- Collate information and prepare regular member newsletters using Mailchimp
- Liaise with support group facilitators and Facebook support group moderators, including preparing roster, sending calendar invites, etc.
- Collate monthly data report for the EDFA Board and external grant providers – data includes EDFA membership, Facebook membership, social media statistics and website analytics
- Create monthly support group events in Gmail and Facebook, prepare and schedule reminders
- Create Facebook posts and Invite members to events
- Update social media tiles using Canva
- Manage multiple Zoom accounts and create zoom links to support online meetings
- Liaise with EDFA stakeholders as required
Time commitment
- 12 hours per week
- Online attendance required at weekly meetings, and respond to emails throughout the week, with flexibility over 3-4 days per week
- Remote work, with occasional in-person meetings (Melbourne location preferred)
