Opportunity for experienced Paediatric Psychologist to join our rapidly growing NDIS Paediatric Team.
The Senior Psychologist/Team Leader will provide team leadership and Psychology supports to NDIS participants as part of an innovative team of allied health professionals.
They will use high-level clinical skills to perform psychological/psychometric assessments & therapy in line with an approved NDIS Plan to children 0-25 years, with delay or disability and provide recommendations to relevant stakeholders that are part of a consumer’s care team. They will provide mentorship, case support, discipline-specific supervision and convene peer consultations/ practice review with members of the NDIS Team including students, provisional psychologists and new graduates.
They will also be the lead Clinician in the development of partnerships and projects that will support and enhance our service offerings and support the NDIS Team Coordinator with leadership and development of the program.
Ideally, you will possess:
- A professional qualification in psychology, with current registration with AHPRA.
- Experience in working with children, their families and external stakeholders within the NDIS space. Additionally, working
as part of a multi disciplinary team - Demonstrated ability to deliver assessments, recommendations & therapy in line with NDIS plans
- Excellent knowledge of paediatric psychological assessments and interventions
- A clear understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and its processes
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide, in line with their NDIS plan, Psychological assessment (e.g. functional, diagnostic and
psychometric assessments) and therapeutic evidence-based interventions for consumers, providing clinical
recommendations to their care team to manage the disability and behaviours. - Providing Outreach support to consumers where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with consumers, their families and significant others (including carers & children)
- Work collaboratively with internal and external service providers to facilitate services with regards to the
consumer’s NDIS plan - Maintain accurate program records and statistics and comply with all administrative quality and compliance
requirements and tasks
