Where you come in:
In this full-time permanent position, based in our Bateau Bay Op Shop, you will be responsible for growing and developing the business. You will lead by example to drive sales and achieve KPI targets, as well as building and nurturing a co-operative group of individuals who together form a vibrant and enthusiastic team. You will be an integral part of our Retail team and report to our Area Manager.
You will make an impact by:
- Leading your diverse team of volunteers to deliver high levels of customer service and achieve store targets
- Providing ongoing support and training for your volunteer team
- Developing and supporting marketing campaigns and promotional activities within stores
- Managing the volunteer roster and working with the Volunteer Manager to ensure shifts are covered
- Training, mentoring, and inducting your team of volunteers
- Supporting the retail team to achieve goals and deliver maximised profits to Save the Children Australia

This role requires:
- Staff/volunteer management experience
- Exceptional customer service skills
- A highly organised and adaptable approach
- A flair for visual merchandising and strong stock management skills
- High motivation and willingness to use your initiative to resolve problems
- An absolute passion for retail
