About the organisation
Founded in 1996, Assistance Dogs Australia (ADA) trains and places unique dogs with Australians in unique situations. ADA currently train dogs that specialise in support for people with a physical disability, autism or PTSD. They are dedicated in this pursuit and have set new benchmarks of success in training and placement, as well as providing a range of services to these individuals and their families. Their free-to-client assistance dogs provide independence, self-esteem, improved health and relationships to individuals and families – resulting in stronger and more successful communities.
The organisation has been on a significant growth trajectory and now employs 50 staff and 100 volunteers, and turns over $7.5 million annually; with over 90% of revenue coming from donations and key partnerships.
About the role
- Lead a recently restructured team of 50 across NSW, QLD and Victoria
- Develop the next five-year strategy to support and sustain growth
- Lead the funding and development of a brand new training centre
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), working in partnership with the Board, will lead the organisation into its next critical phase of growth. You will be a strong cultural and transformational leader, experienced in building brand, raising awareness and able to identify and attract new funding sources.
The CEO will also be leading the funding and development of a significant new campus at Orchard Hills, which will enable dog training and operations to continue to expand and flourish to meet the growing need in the community.
