Organisation Name : UBC Uncle Bobs Club

Uncle Bobs Club (UBC) is a children’s charity and has operated in Victoria since 1942. UBC has donated over $17mil to ten’s of organisations across Victoria to aid children’s health. UBC has helped over 1 million children receive urgent medical care and ongoing rehabilitation, while also assisting medical practitioners to receive education through Scholarships and Fellowships. 

UBC help’s communities and organisations that don’t normally get funded including rural and remote hospitals through our Local Giving for Local Health Program. 

The Uncle Bobs Club is also involved in the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal, and this year we raised $250,079 towards the Appeal.

About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to drive the growth, development and sustainability of UBC through the annual fundraising plan, supporting UBC’s members and volunteers, identifying opportunities and maintaining strategic relationships.

This role undertakes regular appeals for funds, as well as the managing programs for retaining and recruiting both donors, members and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the annual fundraising plan and budget in line with UBC strategy
  • Implement a regular program of appeals, including the Good Friday Appeal
  • Manage initiatives to attract new donors, members and other supporters
  • Undertake regular reporting to the Board against agreed KPIs
  • Ensure the accurate management of data related to donors, members and volunteers
  • Ensure all fundraising is compliant with best practice and relevant legislation
  • Assist in identifying, developing and managing grant applications
  • Support and assist in other projects as required by the board from time to time.

Requirements of the position are:

  • Valid Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • COVID-19 Vaccination in accordance with the Chief Health officer COVID-19 Mandatory vaccination Directions
  • Flu Vaccination
