About the role
We are seeking a values driven, experienced professional to lead and manage our high functioning Policy, Health Promotion and Advocacy team. Reporting to the CEO, this position has key responsibilities for policy, research translation, health promotion and advocacy with priority projects in Sexual Reproductive Health and Women’s Mental Health, data analysis and evaluation. As a member of the Leadership team, you will also contribute to the strategic development of WHV and the achievement of WHV’s Strategic Priorities.

You are proactive, accountable (for self and others), people focused and inclusive to advance the health of Victorian women across key portfolio areas. You are a natural collaborator and effective communicator who actively shares ideas, information and resources to achieve positive outcomes.
As the Manager, Policy, Health Promotion and Advocacy you will operate within a supportive and structured environment and will need to:
- Be an experienced strategic leader and program and people manager
- Have a sound understanding of policy and health promotion and the issues women face
- Have experience in women’s health, gender equality, mental health or sexual reproductive health
- Have highly developed interpersonal and relationship skills
- Be willing to work within a feminist framework
- Have post graduate qualifications in public health, social policy, gender studies or similar
