Who we are 
Social Ventures Australia (SVA) is a social purpose organisation that works with partners to improve the lives of people in need in Australia by helping businesses, governments, and philanthropists to be more effective funders and social purpose organisations to be more effective at delivering services.

The SVA Impact Investing team supports SVA’s vision by connecting social-purpose organisations that need capital to grow their impact with suitable funding and advice. It is a pioneer and market leader in the impact investing space. Over more than a decade, the team has incubated, established, and managed a range of funds with varying mandates, including the $15m Diversified Impact Fund, the $90m+ Social Impact Investment Trust and the $180m Synergis Fund.

SVA has also developed and launched 8 Social Impact Bonds (SIBs), of which 5 are currently operational, with a ninth under development. In addition, the team provides advisory support to governments and service providers as they explore and implement outcome-based contracting models.

The position 
The Analyst sits within SVA’s Impact Investing team and plays an important role in supporting SVA’s flagship social impact bond and outcomes-based contracting practice.

With exposure to a wide variety of opportunities and sectors, this role supports SVA’s program governance, contract management and investor reporting for existing SIBs; developing and implementing new SIBs and outcomes-based contracts; delivering advisory engagements related to this practice; and maintaining relationships with key partners, including service delivery organisations, governments, and investors.

The scope of this role is wide-ranging, including financial modelling and payment structure design, social impact and data analysis, risk analysis, documenting commercial terms, legal review, investor reporting and preparing presentations..

Who you are 
If you have a proven ability to synthesise complex information, communicate at all levels and in all forms, build long-term trusted relationships, and perform financial modelling, this is the role for you.

The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: development of complex commercial arrangements; financial services (funds management, corporate banking or transaction advisory); Chartered Accounting, Law or Actuarial services; advisory and/or consulting services, together with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
