About the organisation
Established in 1974, The Disability Trust supports children and adults with disability and their families in the Illawarra region. The organisation has grown substantially, with expansion in NSW and ACT including regional areas north of the Victorian border and services for the residents of the Hunter Valley.
With its roots firmly in the community, The Disability Trust prides itself on providing holistic, highly professional care and support to people with disabilities and their families. Services include supported independent living (SIL) and accommodation, therapy services, vocational services and support for those with a wide range of needs including rehabilitation services for those with acquired brain injury and mental health services support. In addition, short term accommodation and respite homes in NSW and ACT are another important service provided by The Disability Trust highlighting their holistic approach.
Today, The Disability Trust has approximately 1,800 permanent and casual staff providing care for more than 4,000 clients and have built strong and trusted relationships with government agencies and a reputation as a reputable, trusted and experienced NDIS provider.

Building on The Disability Trust’s trusted reputation and success to date, the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will work closely with the Board to innovate across the organisation, refining client experience, financial modelling, service structure, culture and technology.
The next CEO will be responsible for guiding The Disability Trust’s vision and strategy, transforming day-to-day operational management and maintaining a strong financial foundation to underpin continued growth as The Disability Trust embarks on its next positive chapter.
The successful candidate will bring a proven expertise in leading large care-giving workforces whose values are centred on achieving great outcomes for customers. You will be a strong and capable steward of culture, business change, workforce leadership and digital transformation and will understand how this plays out in a geographically diverse Human Services business.
