When it comes to protecting vulnerable children from abuse, Barnardos is dedicated to the prevention of trauma in children, and support families to be the best parents they can be. They help children to recover and thrive through an extensive range of Safety & Prevention programs, and when needed find safe homes for them through foster care and open adoption.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, you will maximise community engagement by growing and maintaining a loyal supporter base of individual and peer-to-peer fundraisers, events, and committees. You will contribute to the achievement of sustainable revenue through evolving and implementing Barnardos fundraising and events strategies.
Additionally, you will:
- Support community fundraisers
- Implement fundraising campaigns and events
- Report on fundraising and event outcomes
- Develop and deliver mutually beneficial partnerships
- Manage internal and external stakeholders including high net worth individuals
Skills Required
You have experience in account management, business development or customer engagement with a background in marketing, events, sponsorships, or fundraising. Ideally, you understand how to leverage digital/social marketing community engagement or fundraising initiatives and have highly developed influencing and relationship building skills.
Your experience will also include:
- Creating engaging content using a range of media
- Achieving financial targets and growing engagement
- End-to-end management of events from concept to execution
- Delivering compelling partner journeys resulting in growth and retention
- Developing consultative working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
