About the role
This is a 0.8 (preferred) – 1 FTE position.
ROLE PURPOSE
This role is critical to PA’s key strategic initiatives to digitise and streamline systems and processes to improve member and staff experience and better utilise data and knowledge and create a digital-first mindset within Philanthropy Australia, outlined in PA’s 2022 – 2025 Strategic Plan.
This position is responsible for performing data management tasks, including data entry and review, extraction, reporting and analysis, managing database integrity, segmentation and development.
PA has recently re-platformed Salesforce, so the person in this role will be a data champion, who leads by example, trains new staff and supports existing staff.
This role will also provide administrative support in managing online systems and embedding operational processes and procedures across the organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the quality of the databases, including importing or entering contacts, leads and opportunities, and implementing database cleaning strategies and processes
- Support the Digital Transformation Lead in the implementation of operational policies and procedures across the organisation.
- Training current and new staff on the day-to-day use of Salesforce
- Maintaining data security, ensuring information is protected and backed-up
- Monitoring Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud performance and making recommendations for improvements
- Creating reports and dashboards to segment or summarise key data for other team members, Senior Management and Board
- Managing campaign lists, creating mailing lists and sending Salesforce template emails
- General administration duties to support the Engagement Team, including inputting data and responding to or escalating member emails.
- Liaising with finance team to ensure accurate, consistent and timely reporting of figures for reconciliation and reporting.
In addition, all staff are required to agree to PA’s Code of Conduct and integrate the organisation’s Values & Behaviours in all they do.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- 2+ years’ experience working with Salesforce (no Salesforce certifications required)
- Experience of being the data champion for an organisation, and training other staff in the use of databases and related systems
- Substantive experience in extracting and reporting on data
- Strong computer literacy skills with the capacity to work with cloud-based office systems such as e-newsletter software and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to learn new computer applications quickly
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong cooperative, interpersonal and time management skills.
- Ability to problem solve and work independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise and coordinate across a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to provide recommendations on how Salesforce can support business needs
- The ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience in User Acceptance Testing and submitting error reports via Jira.
