Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the NSW Central Coast and Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, CSBB is a system serving 44 Catholic Schools with around 17,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
About the role
The Senior Executive: Governance, Legal and Risk is a leadership role reporting to and working closely with the Director of Schools and other members of the senior leadership group to facilitate the innovation, partnership and holistic approach to contemporary education, which is at the heart of our thriving Catholic communities across CSBB.
This role is a hands-on managerial role in implementing key strategic initiatives, and is highly accountable for the planning, resourcing and execution of workstream priorities within the scope of Towards 2025.
Critical areas of focus will be:
- Leading the Governance, Legal and Risk Workstream and ensuring staff collaborate across workstreams to achieve Towards 2025 goals, objectives and initiatives
- Driving the Towards 2025 strategic initiatives and applying expert knowledge to the planning, design and implementation of initiatives to deliver on improved, effective and efficient processes and outcomes in Governance, Legal and Risk
- Embedding efficient and sustainable governance regimes, including maintaining relevant registers, policy review, establishing a company secretarial function and developing a clear pathway for an appropriate incorporated structure
- Leading a professional team to deliver key strategic objectives
- Ensuring simplified, aligned and transparent systems, policies and processes operate to ensure effective stewardship and risk management
- Providing honest, expert and strategic advice to stakeholders to ensure the governance, risk and compliance frameworks are fit for purpose, support decision making and achieve alignment of strategic objectives
- Collaborating with others across the system to ensure high performing and talented colleagues are temporarily deployed to project teams.
The role is full-time role based largely at Pennant Hills. Travel within the Diocese’s geographical area will be required.
