Senior Philanthropy Manager

The Senior Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing the strategy and implementing plans to build out the Foundation’s engagement with Trusts & Foundations, and lead the strategy and implementation of major multi-year capital campaigns. This role will build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing philanthropic funders, and with key internal stakeholders. You will develop compelling donor-centric funding applications, proposals and tailored collateral and assets supported by the Marketing team, including timely reporting and deadline management. You will develop a keen understanding of HammondCare’s key priority funding areas and opportunities.

Reporting to the GM, Strategy, Transformation & Impact, and being a vital member of the Strategic Delivery Office team, the Senior Philanthropy Manager will also oversee and collaborate on asset development, event programs, site visits and donor journey pathways for major capital campaigns. Your management of enduring and productive relationships will help you manage the pipeline of T&F and campaign-specific major givers. This role will work closely with the Bequests & Major Gifts Manager to identify strategic opportunities and deepen engagement. You will lead and oversee impact reporting and regular updates as required, as well as ensure appropriate tracking is in place that shows a clear picture of T&F progress against agreed metrics.

About YOU

• 10+ years of fundraising experience, plus tertiary qualifications in a related field or equivalent experience,
• A deep understanding of the PAFs and T&F landscape, as well as strong existing relationships or networks,
• Prior experience driving engagement with T&F and major donor relationships that produce win-win
  outcomes and reach financial targets,
• Proven experience leading and managing internal and external stakeholders through T&F and multi-year
  funding campaigns,
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and to strict, often tight, timeframes,
• You’re a logical thinker, a collaborative team player and are easily able to turn complex content into simple,
  clear messages,
• You have strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills as well as powers to influence,
• Passionate about health and aged care. Prior knowledge or experience in this sector is desirable,
