The Youth Residential Recovery Service (YRRS) provides a therapeutic residential program for up to one year for 8 young people age 16-25, who struggle with wellness and recovery from mental illness. We provide a nurturing, holistic, trauma informed, and recovery focussed living environment where they can develop and build their skills and strengths. YRRS aim to encourage positive individual growth and development for young people to improve their quality of life and broaden their opportunities. YRRS objective is to promote positive personal and social relationships for young people, including with their friends, families and their broader social networks and community through one on one support and group programs.
The Service Manager provides service delivery leadership and program management of YRRS as funded by Department of Health, Mental Health and Wellbeing Division. This position provides guidance and expertise to ensure the service achieves key performance indicators and the service is of a high quality.
The role of the Service Manager is to support and supervise YRR team. This includes oversight of CRSWs, PSWs, and Operations Support. There will be a requirement to ensure streamlined and effective delivery of supports across the region by engaging and fostering relationships with other organisations. The Service Manager will play a pivotal role in monitoring performance and the ongoing evaluation and review of service outcomes.
Core duties
- Initiate, lead and coordinate strategic partnerships within the community, local government, community housing, and health and welfare providers to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for young people.
- Ensure services are provided in an accessible manner with mechanisms in place to regularly monitor the level of access achieved.
- Undertake projects that contribute to the overall development of the organisation as decided by State Manager, National Leadership Team or the CEO
- Coordinate the recruitment and selection of Neami YRR Hawthorn staff.
- Ensure that all staff are aware of and adhere to Neami National’s mission, values, culture, policies and procedures
- Ensure onboarding, practice development (supervision), training and skill development is provided to all members of staff
- Ensure that all staff are provided with a bi-annual performance review
- Manage the Service budget including monitoring progress against financial targets and ensuring priorities are established and met
