About the role
Strategy and Planning Executive
Your opportunity to shape YouthNow’s Future!
The challenge:
YouthNow is at a crossroads in its journey. We seek a creative strategist to identify and develop options for our future. Are you an innovative thinker and a creative doer? Can you think outside the square and encourage others to do the same?
You will research and assess options for expanding our existing service offerings, and respond to an evolving employment environment, take us in new direction, identify and seek additional government contracts/funding.
The role
- You will report directly to the YouthNow Board and work collaboratively with the CEO.
- The role is a 6 to 12-month contract, and could transition to a leadership role at YouthNow.
- We are looking for the right person so flexible work options will be considered
- We are open to secondment from another organisation.
You
You understand working with disengaged/disadvantaged youth. Ideally you have experience designing and delivering programs with education, training and employment pathways. You need an understanding of youth transition issues and policies at local, state and national levels.
You need to be adept liaising with government departments and other organisations, with effective communication and negotiation skills. You need demonstrable skills in strategy. Business acumen is sought; experience in growing a business or organisation would be valuable. You need to be flexible, have ideas to share and be practical and hands-on when needed.
