With over 200 staff, Foundation House is a state-wide agency offering services in metropolitan, regional and rural areas, with head office based in Brunswick and service sites in Dallas, Sunshine, Dandenong, and Ringwood.
About the role
Due to an increased demand for services, we are looking to expand our team of specialist Counsellor Advocates in the Intake and Access Team.

The team responds to referrals by providing triage and initial assessment to determine what services may best meet the needs of referred individuals and/or their families, liaising closely with referrers. This may result in allocation to services delivered by Foundation House or where Foundation House services are not the best match for client needs/presentation referrals are facilitated to relevant agencies.
The team is supported by the Intake and Access Team Leader, Senior Practitioners and our Intake Admin Coordinators in the delivery of high quality services to clients to promote better access, referral pathways and risk management, ensuring service provision reflects Foundation House’s Integrated Trauma Recovery Service Model.
Counsellor Advocates in the Intake and Access Team provide important first contact with Foundation House services for clients and referrers, working closely with colleagues and the Intake and Access Team Leader to deliver timely and effective triage, intake assessment, brief counselling and system navigation support to potential clients of VFST. The role will include providing information and secondary consultations to referring agencies and opportunities to be involved in group interventions may also be available.
