About the role
The Thoracic Society of Australia & New Zealand (TSANZ) is seeking an efficient and highly organised individual with exceptional administrative and customer service skills to join their high performing team in the capacity of Events and Member Services Officer.
The role reports to the Manager – Operations and Member Services. This is a full-time role primarily based at TSANZ Offices (relocating to Chatswood in the New Year) with flexible hybrid options available.
You will work in partnership with TSANZ Branch Executive Committees and the TSANZ Conference committee to deliver exceptional and engaging events, assist with membership engagement and membership enquiries. You will also provide secretariat support for Board subcommittees and other TSANZ officeholders as directed.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
Branch events and educational activities
- Coordinate and assist in delivering the TSANZ Branch events
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver TSANZ Educational
- Responsibility for the end-to-end event and educational activities
- Liaise with sponsors, action, and coordinate relevant administrative tasks
- Assist with the communication of key messages to the membership, partners, stakeholders, and the wider community via a range of channels including social media
TSANZ Annual Scientific Meeting
- Provide secretariat support to Conference Steering Committee
- Respond to all correspondence including emails
- Act as liaison for all conference matters
- Attend the annual scientific meeting and provide support as required
Membership Services
- Assist the TSANZ Membership Officer with all member interactions
- Coordinate member communications, incl. maintaining the website and other communication channels
TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU MUST HAVE
- Tertiary qualifications in event management (or relevant)
- Demonstrated experience in event management or administration or similar role
- Exposure to, or understanding of, the NFP and or health sector (highly desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships
- The ability to work collaboratively to achieve joint objectives
- High-level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver successful and timely outcomes
- Experience in providing secretariat support to Executive Committees
- Exceptional organisational, and multi-tasking skills / able to coordinate competing priorities
- Experience in managing a variety of video-conferencing and educational delivery software
