About the role

 

  • Ongoing full-time opportunity, working 35 hours per week.
  • Parramatta location with flexible and hybrid working options available.
  • Clerk Grade 9/10. Base salary $116,211 to $128,061 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

 

About the team

The Legal and Professional Services Division provides expert legal, taxation, financial planning, and genealogy services to customers across the entire agency.

 

About the role

The Manager, of Financial Planning is responsible for the provision of financial planning advice and services that meet client needs, are compliant with legislative requirements, and are consistent, efficient and effective.

 

The role will see you:

  • Manage the delivery of financial planning services to ensure high quality, consistent, cost-effective and timely service delivery that is within budget, compliant with legislative requirements and consistent with industry best practice.
  • Administer financial, insurance and budgeting advice to clients to ensure financial assets are secured and benefits and entitlements are received.
  • Provide advice on and monitor difficult matters, appeals and significant complaints to ensure that they are resolved effectively, client needs are met and the reputation of NSWTG is maintained and enhanced.

About you

We are looking for an experienced financial planner to join our team and lead the provision of financial planning advice and services. We strongly encourage you to apply if you have the following skills and experience:

  • A fully qualified financial planner.
  • A strong leader who can manage high performing teams and can establish relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • An excellent communicator who can provide expert advice on financial matters, personal insurance and budgeting to clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of financial planning, investments, personal insurance, government benefits and child support.
  • Experience negotiating with financial institutions, benefit providers, statutory agencies and other stakeholders on complex or sensitive issues.
  • Proactive in establishing and maintaining working relationships with external organisations and government agencies.
  • Ability to promote and enhance a positive culture within the team and other staff within NSW Trustee & Guardian.

Essential requirements  

  • Tertiary qualifications in Financial Planning and membership of a related professional body.
  • All roles in NSWTG require a willingness to have phone calls monitored for quality and training purposes.
  • Up to date COVID-19 vaccination status and able to provide acceptable proof
