The Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS) is the peak organisation for community and social services in Australia and a national voice for the needs of people affected by poverty and inequality. ACOSS develops public policy, undertakes research, promotes and communicates positions in the media, and undertakes direct advocacy and public campaigns. ACOSS is committed to ensuring people directly affected by poverty and inequality can participate fully in public policy development and debate and that the public narrative around poverty and inequality is informed and respectful.

About the role
THE ROLE
In this exciting and varied role, you will have opportunity to use your exceptional stakeholder engagement and strategic business development skills to oversee the management of key partner and member relationships and the generation of independent income to support ACOSS’ strategic objectives.
Working closely with and reporting to the Director of Development and Operations, the Partnerships and Development Manager will contribute to the design of ACOSS’ business development strategy and lead and drive its implementation. This includes the day-to-day management of strategic partners and the preparation of funding proposals and grant applications in line with ACOSS strategy, oversight of the ACOSS fundraising pipeline and the generation of regular reports to funders, the leadership team and Board.
In addition, the Partnerships and Development Manager will play a key role in ACOSS’ Organisational Member engagement and deputise for the Director of Development and Operations during periods of leave.
