About the role
The position will oversee the development and implementation of a world class ‘Strategic Alliance & Partnership’ program, in line with Zoos Victoria’s 2030 strategy (thriving ethical business). You will manage the current portfolio of partners and grow alliances & partnerships (commercial & value-in-kind), with other like-minded organisations, with an aim to generate commercial revenues and/or value-in-kind, which will in turn help to promote our core objectives of, fighting extinction and creating a future rich in wildlife.
This position will proactively secure sponsorship investments to support our ongoing efforts to promote conservation and sustainability, and onboard suitable commercial and value in kind partners in line with the four property master plans for future development. They will develop and maintain long term alliances and partnerships with leading Victorian and Australian organisations with an intent to promote the message of conservation and sustainability and position Zoos Victoria as a leading conservation and sustainability focused organisation.
Reporting to the General Manager within Business Development team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide strategic oversight to some of the high value partner negotiations and be responsible for building and leading a team that enables partnerships that power Zoos Victoria’s objectives.
- Provide specialist advice on partnerships across the organization and develop a comprehensive strategy & sponsorship/partnership business plans.
- Posses a core understanding of the sponsorship landscape in Victoria and Australia and be able to develop relationships with like leading Victorian and Australian organisations with an intent to generate commercial and non-commercial outcomes for Zoos Victoria.
- Manage existing partnerships and relationships including delivery of contracted benefits / rates / products in addition to de developing a 3-5 year partnership strategies in line with our objectives.
