Team Leader – Youth Social Work VIC

Competitive salary package on offer Fulltime role SCHADS 5 -Annual Salary $89,000 – $94,000 + super + $16k Salary packaging, Work car, professional development allowance + some relocation assistance for the successful social worker. 
  
About The role
Newly funded under the National Suicide Prevention Leadership funding , this role will champion as an operational lead for the regions across in East Gippsland VIC acting as the first point of call for your region, responsible for the safe and effective delivery of Youth In search services.

In this role you will be managing Social Workers & Peer support workers who you will assist in maintain a shared caseload. You will offer supervision of staff KPI and assessments and high intensity support to your team. You will also work collaboratively with key stakeholders in the region.

Key Selection Criteria:
To be considered for this role, you will need to have the following attributes as a minimum:

• BA/MA of Social Worker & Eligibility for registration with AASW
• 3- 5 years’ experience working with vulnerable youth working within case management lens.
• Demonstrable supervisory experience preferably in the child, youth and family sector
• Sound knowledge of the challenges and issues experienced by young people (12-20) affected by trauma and interventions. 
• Strong communication skills with the ability to develop networks and establish/increase community engagement
• Sound risk assessment skills including but not limited to suicide risk, psychological distress and mandatory reporting
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong written skills and experience using case record management systems
• Unrestricted and valid Driver’s License, Working with children checks & National Police checks
