About the role
The Donor Relations Manager (Centres of Excellence portfolio) is a senior member of the Donor Relations Team and plays a key specialist role in engaging with donors to generate funding for Epworth’s seven Centres of Excellence. This includes developing a program to identify new donors and providing personal, bespoke opportunities to strengthen relationships with current supporters of the Centres.
Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, you will engage and collaborate with senior staff, in particular the Centre Directors (who are renowned health experts), Research Program Managers, Trusts & Foundations Manager, and the Donor Relations Team to help drive a donor engagement program that fosters a culture of gratitude and identifies major gifts and bequest prospects. A key focus is to build a relationship with the Centres of Excellence to understand their strategy and identify new funding needs.
This important role requires a pro-active person with excellent communication skills, and experience in engaging and building relationships, donor solicitation and major gift stewardship.
