Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Setting a narrative approach for the organisation through strategic media, public relations and community issues management to support its reputation and public position
  • Overseeing all communications undertaken by Carers Australia and managing all digital channels (eg. website, blogs and social media) to ensure brand consistency across all digital channels and provide reports to the CEO on the impact of digital communications
  • Developing and delivering national communication campaigns, including National Carers Week and other campaigns in collaboration with member organisations and key stakeholders
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with members and other relevant stakeholders, including reaffirming the operating model for the National Carer Network (members) communications network and establishing time for team building and group planning across the Network

As a highly motivated self-starter with excellent organisational and time-management skills, you will be able to take the initiative in driving new projects and work well under pressure.
