Accountant

We are looking for a full-time Accountant to join our Redfern based team, where you will work with multiple clients to:

• Perform compliant month-end financial accounting processes in accordance with Accounting Standards;
• Prepare financial reports, budgeting and modelling including drafting commentary & notes;
• Liaise with external auditors;
• Prepare compliance-related returns including BAS, IAS and STP;
• Prepare / review complex accounting calculations, e.g. termination pays
• Carry out bookkeeping duties for a limited number of clients;
• Respond to clients’ accounting queries; and
• Provide proactive, strategic and tailored advice on client financial or management accounting matters.

About You:

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Has CPA/CA qualifications
• Has at least 5 years of accounting experience
• Advanced Excel and Xero skills

Desirable (not essential) attributes include:

• Proficiency in Dext, Calxa, Power BI
• Accounting Practice Experience
• Non-profit accounting experience
