The Organisation
Our client is an innovative Not for Profit organisation and one of Australia’s largest peak bodies with a large focus on training, development, and advocacy across the sector.
The Position
The Contract Manager will be responsible to manage, negotiate, oversee, and build relationships with vendors and subcontractors. Reporting directly to General Manager – Services, the Contract Manager’s primary responsibilities will be to:
  • Manage the end-to-end Government contract process within allocated spend categories, including spend analytics, internal requirements analysis, supply planning, market research, planning, improvement initiatives, strategic supplier development, and benefits realisation.
  • Develop strategic internal and external stakeholder relationships and build an understanding of organisational requirements and forecast demand requirements.
  • Recommend and implement appropriate frameworks to reduce risk and coordinate national contractual outcomes that provide better life cycle cost solutions.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to prepare bids and funding proposals for service opportunities.

The Person

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Experience in Government contracts management in the Australian context.
  • Tertiary qualification in procurement, supply or contracts management or related discipline or proven relevant Contract experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing spend Contract strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of strategic supplier relationship management programmes.
  • Demonstrable experience in tender reviews and an excellent understanding of the probity and ethics of tendering and sustainable procurement.
