About the organisation
Emma House and The SAFV Centre have recently entered into a partnership for the joining of the two organisations through a proposed merger (pending government approval to take place during 2023). The SAFV Centre is providing leadership support to Emma House and together we will form the leading specialist domestic and family violence service in South West Victoria, operating a range of services that includes crisis response, accommodation and outreach services.
About the role
We are seeking up to 3 Solicitors to provide duty lawyer advice and representation in family violence matters in the Magistrates Court and advice and casework services to women experiencing family violence in a range of Family Law, Migration and Child Protection matters. A passion for working empathically to support women and children who are victim/survivors of family violence is a must.
The successful candidate or candidates will enjoy salary commensurate with their experience and the seniority of the role to which they are appointed in accordance with the SCHADS Award plus super, flexible hours, the ability to salary package up to $15,900 in tax-free pay annually and the benefit of working alongside a passionate team of professionals to make a positive and lasting societal impact.
These roles are full-time, and a combination of ongoing and fixed term roles located in the beautiful coastal regional community of Warrnambool, Victoria. Some flexibility in relation to hours and location will be considered for the right candidate.
