The National Tertiary Education Union (Victorian Division) covers members employed in universities, associated companies, research institutes, TAFE, student unions and adult and community education. The Union’s membership includes Academic, General, Research and Professional staff.
NTEU is seeking applications for a full-time, ongoing position located in the NTEU Victorian Division office in South Melbourne, although travel to all Victorian campuses may be required from time to time. As part of a Division team working with workplace branches, the successful applicant will be expected to:
- Prepare and/or advocate cases before Fair Work Australia and other tribunals.
- Provide industrial advice to members, branches and the division on industrial matters and disputes.
- Negotiate workplace grievances/issues and industrial disputes with management.
- Provide high-level technical support and lead major Enterprise Bargaining negotiations.
This position will complement an established industrial team in the Victorian Division Office.
The position will be filled at either NTEU Level 6 ($101,170 – $110,908) or NTEU Level 7 ($114,807 – $126,754) depending on skills and experience, plus 17% employer superannuation contributions. Terms and conditions for this position are covered by a national collective agreement which has terms comparable with NTEU members in the industry.
