About the role
The nurse practitioner position will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients’ health issues and promote healthy lifestyles with a strong focus on preventative health care at the Brimbank Local Adult and Older Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Service. The role will also provide clinical leadership, high level clinical nursing, management, and governance with the practice at the Brimbank site.

Your duties include:
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver group and individual treatment at the Brimbank Local Adult and Older Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Service.
- Provide psychological assessment and participate in coordinated care.
- Provide intake and walk in sessions.
- Participate in case review and contribute to team decisions about treatment plans and pathways as required
- Liaise with partner organisations and other key stakeholders as required

Our ideal candidate:
- Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Psychology Board of Australia)
- At least two years of professional experience in a clinical setting as a psychologist
- Experience in facilitating groups
- Demonstrated evidence of working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills with patients, their families, colleagues’ partners, and stakeholders
- Strong working knowledge and experience in using a range of evidenced based therapeutic interventions including CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, ACT
All Healthcare workers in Victoria are required to have received three doses of COVID-19 vaccination. You will need to provide evidence before commencing employment with cohealth.
