About the role

The Assistant Coordinator is responsible for working closely with the Coordinator to provide programs for children aged 5 – 12 years in Before School Care & After School Care at our Balgowlah location and Vacation Care at our Davidson location.

This is a permanent full-time position.

 

Duties

  • Working in support of the coordinator on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service.
  • Regularly evaluating the program to ensure it caters for the interests and needs of school age children and meets the requirements of the ‘My Time – Our Place’ Framework.
  • Ensure Compliance and best practice programming under the National Quality Standards and Regulations.
  • Advising families about the program, policies and procedures when required.
  • Where appropriate take on the role of Educational Leader within the service, providing guidance and support.
  • Working in support of the coordinator on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service.

 

Requirements

  • Qualifications or significant experience in working in outside school hours care.
  • Skills and experience in team leadership.
  • Completion of the “Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk” certificate.
  • Knowledge of regulation relevant to Outside School Hours Care under the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Law.
  • Current First Aid certification/CPR certification/Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
  • Working With Children Check.
  • National Criminal History Check.
