Assistant Management Accountant

We are offering a permanent full-time role within our Finance team, with flexible location options (Australia-wide), hybrid working arrangements, salary packaging, and other benefits (such as monthly RDO).

We are looking for someone with accounting and finance skills and experience who is passionate about releasing children from poverty and using their skills to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes.

Key Accountabilities include: 

• Align tasks and deliverables to the Mission and Strategy of the organisation;
• Maintain and update budget and forecast models, ensuring data accuracy and integrity;
• Analyse variations to budget and provide commentary to support decision-making;
• Complete journal entries and expenditure account coding accurately and in a timely manner;
• Provide general support to the Finance Business Partner in various tasks, including financial reporting, compliance, and audit;
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve queries and discrepancies.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications include:

• Well-developed communication skills with the ability and willingness to deliver and accept and learn from feedback received;
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial systems;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• 3+ years of accounting and finance experience;
• Degree in Finance or Accounting (Desirable);
• Qualifications in (or working toward) an Accounting qualification (e.g. CPA) (Desirable).
