About the organisation
Lower North Shore Community Transport Inc (LNSCT) (branded Community Connect Transport) and Stryder Limited (Stryder) are public benevolent institutions established to enhance the wellbeing of frail and aged people, people with a disability and their carers, together with other transport-disadvantaged residents of northern Sydney.
Our community transport services are provided by experienced drivers of cars and buses for purposes such as medical appointments, shopping, social outings, and other trips and activities. Many of our services are wheelchair accessible.
LNSCT and Stryder work in close, cooperative relationships with government agencies, local councils and community organisations to assist in the participation of our clients in community life.

About the role
LNSCT and Stryder are in the process of implementing a new organisational structure to share administrative services and fully merge operations in future. We need a CEO to drive this process and deliver our next stage of growth while minimising disruption for our clients and ensuring our benevolent purpose is maintained.
We are seeking an experienced CEO to lead and manage the day-to-day operations and staff of both organisations, and to develop, articulate and deliver the organisations’ overall strategy and business plans.
The successful candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications and proven experience of community services provision within the Commonwealth, NSW and local government spheres. The person will be results-oriented with demonstrated achievements in delivering strategy and business plan outcomes, possess strong commercial acumen and have excellent financial management experience. They will also have significant experience in leading and motivating a diverse team of people in a time of change.
An appropriate remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
Main tasks
- Develop and maintain a cohesive work environment for all staff.
- Manage resources productively to enhance financial sustainability.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, particularly in federal, state and local government, which enhance ongoing operations.
- Market services to clients, community and stakeholders.
- Ensure legislative and funding contract requirements are met.
- Work with the Board to design, implement and embed appropriate governance frameworks.
- Ensure the Board is fully informed of all material developments in the provision of community services and is given viable recommendations for decision.
